We would like to inform that the Chief of the Hlaing Mahasi Vipassana Monastery and its branches, Hlaing Township, Hlaing Mahasi Sayadaw Bhaddanta Sandavarama Maha Thera, who was 97 years old and 77 years old, he passed away at 6:30 am on Thursday, 30.10.2025. And (1.11.2025) Saturday morning (9:00) at the special hall of the Yeway Cemetery, we would like to inform you that the fire offering(burning) ceremony will be held at the special hall of the Yeway Cemetery by 7:00 or 8:00 on that day.

The Utuzara Rukikalapdao will be held in Hlaing Township, Hlaing Township, on the 12th day of the first lunar month, November 1, Saturday morning (7:00). Yogis and Dhamma friends from near and far can come to pay their respects. The food and drinks will be provided.

After the fire offering ceremony, the ashes of the bones will be taken to Hlaing Township, It is also hereby notified that the ashes will be brought back to the Hlaing Mahasi Vipassana Monastery and will be floated on the Hlaing River in Yangon Region at exactly 2:00 PM.

Therefore, we would like to inform you that those who will accompany us to the Yeway Cemetery are requested to arrive at the monastery at exactly 7:30 AM on Saturday (1.2.2025) so that the vehicles can leave the monastery.

After the ashes are brought back from the Yeway Cemetery, all the guests will offer the ashes floated at the Hlaing Mahasi Vipassana Monastery before leaving for the afternoon at 2:00 PM.

After the alms, the monks and the audience are kindly requested to leave the Hlaing Township Monastery at 2:00 PM sharp to perform the ritual of floating the ashes in the Hlaing River.
